How to start a racing career

Mainly in automotive competitions for motorcycles well I don’t ride motorcicles so I have no idea but its probably a lot easier, and more dangerous.

So you been watching a couple of Initial D episodes, maybe seen all versions of Fast and the Furious, and Love Grand Turismo and Forza Motorsports. It’s only natural to want to go to the next step. Cause while it’s fun to watch anime and movies, or playing video games about racing cars and going fast, nothing beats the real thing. But how exactly do you break into the world of a select few petrol heads ever get to truly enjoy.

It all starts here, at the Miami Car Meet site. I will explain how to start your motoring career right here in Miami, Florida, and how to go from racing from light to light hoping no cops catch you to burning real rubber at the Homestead speedway, and Daytona Speedway.

The number one factor in a racing career/lifestyle is MONEY,MONEY, MONEY. Yes money in capital letters, you need a Huge fortune to make a small fortune in racing. That’s the one single truth in any type of motorsports event.

First you will need a car

Any car will do actually as long as it’s in a safe condition with all safety equipment; in example seat belts still working , and no major leaks. As a nice starting off point Honda’s are usually the cheapest and you get the most bang for your buck. Its always up to whatever budget you have available. However be prepared to spend money no matter what car you buy.

As a smart choice the 2 strongest factors are weight and the driver mod. In other words you have to Practice, Practice, and do more Practice. Get as much seat time as possible in your car. The next serious mod is weight. You need to shed as much weight from your car as possible. Forget turbos or nitrous cutting weight of your car is the best can ever do.

Second Step:

Now that you have that factored in find a class you want to run in. Bellow are links to different classes and the rules and regulations they require. Go through them see if your car meets those requirements  and register, then be prepared to hit the track and burn Rubber.

Bellow are some rules and regulations for established races
